Mini practice shoot

After seeing all of the great photos on here I decided that I should at least start practicing by taking some pictures. It''s a gray, gray, day so they are all inside.

I''ve noticed a few people mention sphene lately, and since my ity bity baby sphene is my favorite right now.... it''s up first!

The color was impossible to capture. In person it is a fantastic, almost lime, green.

This is the only one that even captured the CRAZY sparkle a little bit. Where did that lint come from?

Ohhhhhh... that''s where all of the fuzz came from

And as a reminder to myself to be extra careful with the gems.... I took a picture of the big ol'' chip in my kunzite.

The newest member of the family, a medusa quartz.

Okay, last one. The back of the quartz.

I like all three of those stones. The medusa quartz is really interesting. Your cat is adorable too. You have a great photo of him (her?) in your avatar. The kitty looks very contemplative.

Thank you! The kitty in my avatar is my little girl, and she is very pensive. The kitty trying to eat the gemstone is her less analytical brother

the shape of your sphene is fantastic, I''m in love with square shape stones recently. your quartz is sooo cool! aww sorry about the kunzite

All 3 stones are very pretty but I love the medusa quartz most of all. The colour and inclusions makes for a very interesting piece. The kitty is so cute!
