DK has finished my channel set band but has yet to apply the milgrain. I've looked for as many photos I could find of the same color combo. It is not that common, most decide on white metal with blue sapphires. I would hate to have to mail it back to LA to have the milgrain finished. I have my original thread where I asked and so far the vote is to milgrain but there were only a couple responses. The band will mostly be stacked with an 18k yg plain thin band. I hope there are some pser's that aren't on holiday and can give their input. Thank you

Personal preference. I like without so voted no milgrain. I remember reading on here that milgrain was started in order to cover up where a ring was uneven as the light did not shine on it the same way showing it up. It was a professional who wrote that...may have been Dave Atlas. As the antique look has become popular many are getting it on their rings to make them look older. It has now become an antique look on Pricescope. Do you like modern or antique.

This is really personal preference. I always love milgrain.

What will you wear it with?

Oh, I love it just the way it is.

P.S. please keep me in mind if you ever decide to sell it!

Thanks for your responses. When I first saw it without the milgrain, I thought it had a more modern look and it does seem everyone is milgraining their small stackers so by not doing it, the band would be different. I also thought that with the milgrain, if it was bumped, it would help to hide any flaw in the channel. DK is also making a wg deco sapphire and diamond band for me. It will have both bead and line milgrain. So I will have a band that will be all decked out in milgrain. Because it is only 2.2mm, I'd wear it stacked with my 18k yg Tiffany band or with 1 or 2 of the thinner 18k bands DK made that I sometimes wear on either side of my eternities.

After looking at the photos, I think if I stack it between the plain bands, I would like it better without the milgrain. The small eternity is 3mm wide whereas the yogo band is 2.2mm. Like DK said, it can be added later.

If you plan to wear it with those cold bands then I wouldn't millgrain it.

I voted for none - I like the look of the polished metal!

You already have lovely stacking rings and one of them has the milgrain...plus you are getting a second one with milgrain. So for the more modern look I'd go without on this YG band with all sapphires. Please post LOTS of photos when you get your new rings.

Another vote for no milgrain. :wavey: Can't wait to see more pics! :appl:
