For those of you as obsessed with metal color as I am: this one's for you!!!
It was VERY liberating stacking all these different colors together! The biggest surprise of all was how much I loved the mix and match. I had always thought I would NOT like RG and YG together...I know it's kind of a faux pas, but I LOVE them all together. I do think part of the key is to keep all the bands thin. The RG really softens all the YG imo. The 18k RG was a perfect cross between the yellowness of 14k YG and the pinkness of 14k RG. I liked them with very little WG though, just a touch...for some reason the big WG E-ring broke up the romance and looked stark, but the little touch in the rolling ring was perfect. I know mixing all these metals is not for everyone, but it is for me!!! I feel like I can choose an e-ring and stackers now with new freedom.
The rings were from different vendors and of course the alloys are different, but you get the idea.
I feel like metal color (probably like diamond size) is very illusive and the more pictures we have comparing the better. I tried to capture them in different lighting. Yes, the salesperson thought I was nuts. Oh well!
