Someone asked for this and I am only too happy to deliver. Tongue in cheek...these answers may not suit all, but it''s all in good fun..choose the one closest to your thoughts.

I second that:

Plasma screen HDTV
22' Rims

seems a fair trade....

Let's start a new compaign:

"Man toys for diamond upgrades" program

My generous hubby insisted that I get double the size of upgrade that I'd been hoping for originally, but we have been married nearly 30 years. Maybe he felt I deserved it. He didn't want a boy's toy either.

He's one in a million

, but I knew that thirty years ago when I first met him.

I'm actually a little disturbed at the 2 guys who said 'Golddigger!' and then what about those other 30% that work their wives to death and then say 'I guess' about an upgrade?!

I would like to think that my guy falls into the last category, though of course he would roll his eyes at the sentiment. He says he would fall into the #3 category..but his position may change. Hence my strong position on KEEPING the original ring and getting an entirely new one later!

The guys who answered "golddigger" are probably not married and thus still thinking in the abstract.

The guys who answer #3 are probably married but not for very long.

My guess is that the #1 guys aren't working their wives to death but picked that simply because they aren't wild about upgrading and you didn't give them any other choice.

I voted #3 but am sympathetic to the desire to upgrade.

I voted for my wife in the women's poll since she's say several times she doesn't want a new e-ring but a "second" wedding ring to go on the outside and match the one on the inside.
