I’ve been hiding this!

I want to thank everyone for all the help a few months ago when I was searching for an asscher (especially you, @OoohShiny who went out of his way!)

This is already the second setting, but after (I don’t want to admit how many rings I’ve made and sold) this is the one! Inspired by @kenny and @gregchang35’s rings.

The photo shows the little asscher shape cut out in the undercarriage.

2.33 F Vs1 ex ex none. I sold nearly every piece of jewelry I owned but it was worth it to have one beautiful ring that I would choose time and time again.

HI:

UUUUMMmmmmmmmmmm :kiss2: HOLY. MOLY.

cheers--Sharon

Wow!
That's really beautiful. :kiss2:

Thank you, Kenny. I first saw your generic asscher when I was in college but all I could afford at the time was a .50 round which I tension set. That got upgraded to a .75, then a 1.00, then a 1.38, then a 2.01, now, finally the asscher I actually wanted in the first place!

I hope you've loved the journey as much as I have.
Looks like you've got a real keeper there.

Wow! That is stunning!!! Gorgeous stone and the setting shows it off perfectly!

Nice!!!

I love the faceting performance in the video, it looks very lively and not at all 'quiet' :))

If Kenny likes it, you know you've got a good one ;) lol

Any chance of some hand shots?? :D

This is basically what I want when I finally get rich, lol - 2-2.5ct / 7-8mm, colourless, VS1+, super-simple (maybe tension) setting!

Oh WOW, this diamond is so beautiful! I love how the setting just puts all the focus right where it belongs!

Oooooh... it’s so gorgeous!! :kiss2::kiss2:

Thank you! I was REALLY fixated on the 2.5 carat “number.” but this stone won. The video doesn’t even do it justice. The steps flash on and off going all the way down to the center.

here are my horrible hand shots (Currently in the car)

Absolutely stunning! Is there a post about your asscher search?

Somewhere if you scroll back far enough. I never posted when I got it. I viewed 22 stones- high crowns, low crowns, deep stones, shallow stones, big tables, small tables, big clipped corners, small clip corners, ect. I got soo frustrated that I almost gave up. Then this one came into my life and the second I saw it I said “that’s the one!”

Might we get a profile picture? =)

Spectacular! Fantastic asscher and classic setting. Looks great on you. Thank you for sharing!

Wow!!!

Thank you for the extra pictures!

The faceting just looks so good, and the performance in the video is mesmerising - I sometimes wonder if my obsession with stepcuts is misplaced when all I can see in local shops is lifeless, boring pieces of rock, but performance like this restores my faith

I think this stone outshines the 2 carat GIA xxx I sold. That was more disco ball. In the right light, the flashing on the asscher is bold. When I’m not what I’m in what I call “diamond lighting” I still love watching the facets turn on and off!

You are making me jealous :D lol

Wow!!! That is an amazing stone and setting!!! Somehow I missed your post on getting one, but went back and read thru it! You had amazing support from @Venzen007 and @OoohShiny !!!! Well done!

I am getting envious of your 2.33!!!
My 1.0 is beginning to feel challenged....

So glad you posted it. =)2

Wow! Nice! I love it!

The diamond cut is very sleek and timeless!

That’s one amazing diamond and setting! Is that a stock setting or custom? I love it.
