Memoire Owners- Brand Engraved on Ring?

memoire owners- do your rings have the memoire brand/logo engraved on the inside? or does it only have the distributor/store name you bought it from engraved on it?

i''m not a memoire owner but diamondseeker (who is a memoire owner) says in this thread that Memoire does not engrave the smaller carat weight rings. why would the store name be engraved in it?? i surely wouldn''t want that.

hi mrss- i don''t want the store''s name engraved in it either but it is. i got my ering from a different place and it has that store''s name engraved on it too (along with the vatche name/logo). wonder if they can take it off.

why wouldn''t memoire stamp every one of their pieces? there''s room on to do so (aside from the eternity styles). that seems strange to me.

not sure. you can always email memoire or someone at pearlmans and ask them though. if you do find out, please let us know.


p.s. i think that''s strange that a store''s name is engraved inside a designer ring. I totally love pearlmnas, but I surely don''t want their name inside next to the designer of my ring

I have never heard of that before, unless the store is the one making the ring..like a whiteflash custom ring or something...

i''m assuming the stores engrave their names on the ring to verify that you bought it from them? it kind of bugs though and FI wants to have it taken off.

i''d have it taken off. seriously, the only thing i''d even consider having engraved is some type of message from my hubby and even that won''t happen with my new ring. i know no one can see it, but it would bother me. i paid a lot of $ for the designer and that''s the only name i''d want inside.

my memoire eternity band is only stamped pt950. i wish it had something proving that it was a memoire, aside from its general fabulousness...

erica, i agree!! memoire definitely makes scrumptous jewelry. love my ring, it''s absolutely gorgeous. i just want to make sure i''m getting a memoire because i surely paid for one.

mine isn''t an eternity and there''s plenty of room for them to stamp memoire on there... did you get an appraisal or any paperwork from your jeweler stating your band is a memoire? just curious, how does the pt950 stamp appear on your ring (PT950, Pt950, pt950)?

I actually called or emailed Memoire when I got my ring because I was concerned that the name was not stamped inside. There was some kind of mark, but it did not say Memoire. They replied that they do not put the name in many of their rings. We have that impression because it looks like they do on the website, but that is not the case.

I have never heard of a jewelry store putting their name inside another designer''s piece! I don''t think they should have done that without asking you.

thanks for chiming in, ds. i was really concerned but feel better knowing that others don''t have memoire stamped on their rings. i think memoire should stamp all their rings or put some kind of mark so people can distinguish and verify it.

I agree completely. It seems like to me they''d like to get more name recognition, and putting the stamp on the ring would allow one to verify authenticity. Tiffany understands this concept apparently!

ds, did memoire tell you how they''d verify their rings should you need to send yours to them or deal with them directly with any warranty issues? it''d be a lot easier for everyone if they provided documentation with each of thier pieces and stamped the ring with their logo.
