melee/pave mm size.. help!

Ok.. so I''ve searched and searched and I need to tell my jeweler what I want ASAP and I can''t find what I''m looking for... so here''s my question:

What''s the mm difference between 2 pointers vs. 2.5 pointers? My stone is an oval, set north south, length = 9.45, width = 7.24, semi-halo-ish, size 5.5 fingers. The ultimate question...

Which shape do you want in the band? (round, princess, etc)

The difference with a round shape diamond is about 0.1mm.

I'd stick with the smaller melee if you're trying to go for the prbaglady look on her Mark Patterson setting - the melee on her's might even be closer to the 1 point size, but don't quote me on that. I
