Ok. This ring is stamped 18ct w, leading me to believe that it is from Europe? What attracted me to it is the mix of old cuts. I see one is chipped and most are included but this ring just charmed me!
What I don’t like is how high it sits!!! And I see a quick fix—removing the face and having my bench attach it to a bangle or another ring or turning it vertically and attaching it to a ring.

Ty! Would you keep as is? Or remodel?

I really like it as is. It is very Mid -Century! It's very architectural.
If the 4 pointy parts are annoying, you could have them removed.
Maybe wear it for a while and see how practical it is, being that the setting is high.
It's sooooo cool!
It reminds me of a Kandinsky painting

Oh my! I personally would reset, but it’s fun the way it is too!

That is so cool, what a mix of cuts on the diamonds too. Are the pinkish-red stones rubies?

The prongs are too prominent for me, so if it was my ring, I would maybe see if something could be done with them, BUT it’s not my ring so whatever makes you most happy….

Prongs or not I can see why you bought it!

I’m wearing it on my index finger and if I’m not reaching into my purse, it’s quite comfy. I’m toying with the idea of bezeling it and yes, reworking the prongs and then attaching to a bangle or ring. I will keep this thread updated. Feel free to suggest!

I’m leaning towards keeping as is! I love the presence! I figure that all these little diamonds are in their best iteration! If I redid, I would end up with a modern look for old cuts. I can live with the little hassle of swapping the ring to my other hand when Reaching into my purse, bc it’s so solid and heavy that it won’t go flying. Real life perspective

Maybe it was the close shot of it prior but in these new photos the prongs don’t look as prominent. You can pull it off for sure, looks great on you!

Ooh, that looks like a brutalist piece. So, say, possible 60's? Swiss? French? American? Don't know. Aren't they cool though? There aren't too many examples floating around.
Very avant garde.
It's making a comeback. Ms. Nala, you are very on trend and cutting edge.
* unless you absolutely have to, I would leave it.

OMG this has to be the coolest ring I have ever seen. How unique, and a total work of art. Reminds me a little of the city hall in Boston (which I love)!

Bc @YadaYadaYada asked me about my new ring, I figured that I would post here.
I took out the center stone and a couple of the cushion cuts from this ring and set them in my new ring. I had already had the baby movals removed, so I used the 2 old cut diamonds from that ring as well. The result is this ring. Before and after.

I REALLY like it in this shot. The up-close picture reminded me of AI artwork. Interesting and abstract.
