Me again, is it normal for prongs to not be symmetrical?

As some of you may know, I've recently received my engagement ring from JA and have proposed to my now fiance. I have a couple threads of the actual ring and head shots.

The ring is practically perfect! Except the prongs, they do not seem to be symmetrical, I cannot tell if one or two of the prong is off. However, I can tell between the 4 prongs they are not perfectly aligned with one another as well as the ring horizontally.

Is it normal for prongs to not be perfectly aligned? If it is not normal and they should be aligned, is this something an ordinary jewelry store can adjust / fix for a low cost? My fiance is so attached to the ring that she would really hate to send it back to JA to have it adjusted. Pics below (Excuse the pet hair)

I can't tell in the pics. I'd reccomend getting a simple macro lens to attach to your camera phone to take pics. It will be easier to check with magnified pics if the prongs are symmetrical or not.

It is not unusual for clawed prongs to be slightly different from each other as these things are shaved down by hand. Having another jeweler work on the ring could void the warranty for the setting, depending on JA's policy. Honestly, I'm not seeing symmetry issues with the prongs. Sometimes the angle of the lighting could make one prong look bigger or smaller than another. My advice would be to leave them as is.

It does look like the lower right prong is out of alignment (and maybe chunkier) than the other 3. I picked the upper left prong and drew a line through it. Then, I made a line at 90 degrees to that first one. Three look pretty good, but the lower left is really off (assuming you are holding the ring absolutely parallel to the camera lens).

I would agree with PP to have it sent back to JA in order to maintain the warranty.

The 5 o'clock prong looks to be a lot bigger than the others, it would drive me crazy so I'd contact JA.

Sorry, I should have said Lower Right no lower left.

When you first posted the pictures after you received the ring, I was going to say that the head (diamond and four prongs for lack of better word) was rotated slightly clock wise, but I’m one of those super picky/symmetrical people so I didn’t say anything. But I’m glad you noticed too. However, I couldn’t tell from the pictures if it’s just due to one prong being off or all of them. Maybe JA shipped it out to meet the deadline still not passing all quality control standard. I hope they fix it for you! Beautiful ring and proposal! Congratulations!!

It should he aligned, try to look from the same angle but turn the ring 180 Deg do you see the same?

If it bothers you step into any jewelers shop that have a setter in-house, it is a 2 sec fix, probably will not charge you at all.

It can happen since setting a diamond is handmade.(it shouldn't thought)

Make sure repairs on your barns. Da ring by anyone other than JA won't void the warranty. But yes, I see it too and it would (ultimately) bug me and I'd send it to JA pronto. First explain via email or live chat using rocky's awesome imagery.

I agree with @CareBear this ring would have more than likely be finished by hand so minor imperfections aren't uncommon and can be part of the charm. However, if it is something which is bothering you take it back to JA so you don’t void the warranty. I am sure they would want to rectify it for you.
