Mcgregor's new stunner - VC 2.54ct Orchid Trilogy

My entire project blitz has been funded by the sale of my Victor Canera H&A 2.54ct G SI1 diamond. That stone was bought by a wonderful PSer - @Mcgregor - who I had the pleasure of meeting, with her daughter, in my own home a few weeks ago. Mcgregor had dreams of VC's Orchid Trilogy, and one quick look at the stone I had for sale, and she knew she'd met her diamond Waterloo.

Victor was, as always, incredibly efficient and Mcgregor already has the new ring on her finger! I believe the sides are roughly .6 ctw, meaning that the whole ring (setting is in platinum) comes in at about 3.15ctw. Mcgregor sent me 2 photos and asked if I'd put up a thread for her.

And here it is! Mcgregor's 3.15ctw Orchid Trilogy, set with a 2.54ct G SI1 VC H&A - a glorious, forever ring.

I cannot hide any longer. I confess to being a long time lurker on PS; reading, studying and allowing others to pick your brains to make sure that I would get the best diamond for my money when I decided to replace my diamond ring that was lost almost thirty years ago. I didn’t want another ring then......I wanted my original engagement ring. Then, decades later, facing the end of college tuitions and all other expenses that follow parents through the child rearing ages, I found this wonderful forum which proved to me that I knew absolutely nothing about buying another diamond ring. It has taken me all these years to sift and assimilate all the knowledge that each and everyone of you provide free of charge and so enthusiastically!

Enter Mrs-b. She was selling two diamonds! One was out of my reach, but.....the other was a Victor Canera and I knew that I wanted the Orchid Six Prong Trilogy with Pear Sides by VC. I knew it had to be a beautiful stone because it was a VC.......and also because, in my years on PS, Mrs-b was an oracle and a master of this forum. Then, the stone was no longer being sold. Oh, well, I had waited this long, I could wait a while longer. Then, the stone was being sold again...... I did not hesitate.

Mrs-b was gracious and hospitable, fun and self- effacing. My daughter and I had a great time with her.........and her baubles!! Her baubles are to die for!! ALL of them!! The rings!!.....the bracelets!,......the earrings!! Ooohhhhhh!! And the VC held its own through the whole play time. And the rest, as they say, is history.........

I think that diamond was yours from the time it came out of the ground. It just took a circuitous route to get to you! But - if ever a ring looked like it belonged on a finger, this would be it!
