These are 36" in length with gold filled filigree clasp am told there real but with no information I'm curious to know more about them thanks16218689381434782289346435396771.jpg16218689580258365069999674535224.jpg

They are pretty.
Just looking at the clasp, I would say that you have imitation pearls.
A 36" strand of fine quality pearls should always have a genuine gold clasp, not gold filled.
This is just my opinion.

Gently rub a pearl aganist the front of a tooth
does it feel a bit gritty
it should if its real

If they feel smooth....well don't feel discouraged from wearing them and enjoying them anyway

did you inherit them ?

Some very famous and rich ladies wore fake pearls

Barbara Bush and Jackie Kennedy
Princess Diana and Queen Alexandra (Queen Victoria's DIL)
Kate Dutchess of Cambridge
Coco Chanel

They look like fake pearls to me=)2

That's really lovelly they are going to have a 2nd life with you
They might be due a restring
If you can see the cord between the pearls
Its not a fault, it just happens naturally as the silk stretches over time and with wear

It won't be exspensive to get them reknotted - someone in your town will do it, ask at your local family jewler
