Hi all,
I originally had this setup in mind: https://www.harrywinston.com/en/classic-winston™-pear-shaped-engagement-ring-tapered-baguette-side-stones. SO and myself fell in love with it (this one and pear side stones) as I shared in a separate thread.
I bought this pear: https://www.rarecarat.com/product/80189647 (we felt like 3ct was a bit too big at HW so I've decided to go for something around 2 and a nice 1.6 lw ratio with slightly lower depth which makes it look a bit longer to me).
Recently, I stumbled upon this setup which I absolutely love:

One has pear+princess and the other pear+emerald. The first one apparently has 3ct on the pear (the shape is a bit fat so probably a lower L/W ratio than mine, 2ct on the princess - not sure about the dimension but it looks great). The second one is irrealistic given the size but I'm still wondering if an emerald would make sense with a much smaller pear.
My questions are:

My questions are:
- Do you think that I could achieve a similar esthetic with the pear I bought along with a 2ct emerald or princess?
- Given the color of my current diamond, is an F shade okay if the two stones are right next to each other on the ring? I've read that more that 1 shade of difference is noticeable even within the colorless range - which might make E be the lowest I can go for.
- I'm trying to save as much as possible on the various variables as this second stone was not part of my original budget so:
- Is a medium fluorescence really bad for a colorless diamond? (I've read everything and its opposite)
- It looks like the size & color are fixed variables if I want this setup and I want a great cut because I've noticed that it's the best variable to optimize for - so as a result, what clarity is "okay" to go with without impacting the esthetic of the diamond for non-experts?
- I've read mostly about the pitfalls to watch out for in pear-shaped diamonds but if anyone has good recommendations for emeralds and princess cuts - it'd be very very welcome!
