Matching diamond colors

Hi. I am going to be trading in my original engagement ring for a new RB solitaire in the 2-3 carat range. My wedding band is a vatche 3.42 carat RB eternity band with H&A G-H SI1 stones. My question is what color grades can I get for my new engagement ring that will match my eternity band? I would like to be able to go down to a J color grade on my new ring, but will it look yellow against my G-H eternity band? Before I start looking seriously I need to know what color grades I am aiming for. Any help/insight would be appreciated.

Ii don't think a J would be a problem. The standard advice on PS is to stay within 2 color shades
of the main stone for side diamonds and I think that would apply here. You might see a slight
difference but I doubt anyone else would notice. You could always go to a jewelers and ask to see
well cut certified J colored stoned to compare with your wedding band.

I agree with tyty about the J, but it really depends on the setting. If the setting allows for a lot of side view, then I don't know if you would be comfortable with a J. I have a 2.43 J and I am fine with it because it's set lower into a halo. I don't think I'd be ok if it were in a 4 or 6 prong setting. The tint would bother me. Also, as you get into larger stones, they will show more body color. There is a huge difference in a 2 and 3 carat, size-wise.

I would go F-I . I can see the difference. I have an H center stone and F eternity band and I can see the color. How sensitive are you?

I want to go with the vatche u113 setting which is a 6 prong Tiffany replica solitaire. I guess I will have to go to a jewelry store to see the color difference in person. My current ring is a G and I really don't see any yellow in it so I am not that sensitive. Thanks so much for the input. Your ring is beautiful!
