matching band for this e ring?

I would go with either a plain band or a channel-set band like one of these:

Thank you for those suggestions!!! I really like the engraved ones!

VC's and SK engraved bands are delicious!!

I think a channel set band would look nice. I originally had a prong set eternity band with my three stone, and I think it was too distracting. I also think that a regular band will sit fairly flush with that setting, so I wouldn't worry about getting a curved one.

My best friend has a three stone engagement ring, and her wedding band is a prong-set, curved 5-stone ring. The set is stunning. I don't have a picture, but her set is very similar to this one I pulled from a Google search:

Is it important to you that your rings sit flush? If so, then I recommend a curved band. If you don't mind a gap, then I also vote for a channel set band :)

I don't think a plain band would be too plain. Yessie wore a plain band with her three stone ring and it was beautiful! She also wore an engraved band with her VC five stone, not a three stone but it still gives you an idea of how the engraved band looks on the hand and with an e-ring.

If you want a little more bling I would absolutely go with the channel set band. It will sit really close to flush and wont wear on the e-ring like a prong set band will.

Just and FYI this is yessie's three stone http://www.whiteflash.com/engagemen...e-butterflies-diamond-engagement-ring-230.htm

how do women feel about the curved bands in general? does it look weird when you take your e ring off for the gym or something and just wear the curved band? i'm looking at getting a curved half-eternity channel set with princess cuts custom made to curve around the setting i mentioned in the original post. like this http://dvatche.com/photos/product/full/67_0.png

It would depend on the depth of the curve, I suppose. My wedding ring is curved, but it's a very subtle curve, so if and when I wear it without my e-ring, it doesn't look strange or awkward at all by itself. In fact, people compliment my wedding ring and often tell me how much they like the look of a curved ring on its own.

That said, I don't know anyone with a wedding set who only wears the wedding band, though. All of my friends (with straight and curved bands alike) wear their full wedding sets all the time, so I haven't really seen too many wedding rings on any shape alone on fingers.

I think this just depends on preference. I personally do no like the look of curved bands. I would much rather have a straight band with a small gap.

Ditto.

I agree with the others, curved or not wedding bands are a personal preference. Which is why I think, if you (OP) are the man that is choosing an engagement ring for your GF, I think I'd let her choose the wedding band.

My ring is almost exactly the same and I wear a plain comfort fit band with it and love the way it looks, it is such a classic and elegant look. I think a diamond band takes away from the look as the diamonds just pop!

I forgot to add that my band isn't curved and it looks just fine as the diamonds are set fairly high so it almost looks as though the diamonds are sitting on top.

I don't like curved bands as I occasionally wear my band alone.

Crikey! :errrr: I wouldn't even wear the curved band to the gym! I can imagine that lifting weights, or grabbing onto the bars of an elliptical as you strain through the last bit of your workout could effectively warp the ring because the metal is malleable!
