Hi

I am looking to get a special gift for my wife and feel that a pair of 14k gold 1/3 Martini Diamond stud earrings would be perfect. Though never buying anything like this before i would really appreciate guidance on this type of purchase.

Where would you recommend for this type of purchase and what quality of stone should i be going for?

Thank you in advance for any support in making a special lady very happy

Welcome! Very nice gift you'll be giving :)

I'd recommend contacting either Yekutiel at ID Jewelry or Whiteflash is another great option (side note that if you think you'll upgrade at some point, go with Whiteflash). Either way, tell them you're from PriceScope and would like the best PriceScope quality combo for your budget.

For earring specs, most people are okay with G/H color and VS1-2 (sometimes SI1). Martini settings are classic, and I'd recommend a LaPousette back for the most secure option.

After they've given you some diamond options, feel free to post the GIA numbers and other information here for more exact feedback!

Thank you for taking the time to provide a response. I will definitely be taking your guidance on this,
have a great weekend.

My studs are from Whiteflash and I highly recommend them for diamond quality and an excellent upgrade policy!

If you'll give us an idea of your budget, we can suggest stones. If you meant a third of a carat, I color is fine, and some go for J as ideal cut diamonds face up pretty bright and white.

Thank you all, really helpful suggestions. I'll make sure i am clearer in the future and more detailed in my request for support.

My wife is very petite so we are looking at 1/3 total weight and the budget we have discussed is around $350 area give or take.

I will be working through your suggestions over the next few days.

Thank you all again, will keep you all updated on my progress

Had looked in to the backs and definitely feel the more secure back (LaPousette) is the right option. The budget is flexible as this is a special gift for her I would go up more even up to the $500 ish mark.
