Marquise Engagement Ring for Tiny Finger

My ring size is 1.5, and I want a marquise diamond for my engagement ring. There does not seem to be too many options for settings, but I like the pave and channel settings thus far. My finger is about 2.5 inches long, so I prefer the width of the setting not to be overpowering. Does anyone know of designs that are classy and elegant? I prefer something clean and simple where the focus is on the marquise diamond (without using a solitaire setting). Thanks for your help!

*Also, I like the marquise set north/south. I am open to a solitaire setting, but not to a halo setting. Does a marquise look better with round or princess diamonds in the setting?

Also, In my honest opinion, I wouldn''t set a marquise in a channel setting with rounds as I think it will look dated (80''s). Just a personal preference

Have you looked at Blue Nile yet, they have alot of options that fall into your requests for a marquise. Also you can purchase them in a set too and that way you have both the engagement ring and wedding band in your size. I would call them to see if they can do it in that size. By the way that is the smallest ring size I have read postson, that is the size of my pencil.

It''s pave set, but has the look of a channel with the metal edge. I think a pave setting might look more delicate on a small hand than channel, but this is just my opinion.

K-I agree and I love that pave setting! I think it would look even more delicate with a marquise cut in it. That is similar to one I saw on Blue Nile. There are lot of options I think!

Wow, the Damiani is really unique! Why is it called a navette-cut? Does anyone know of any jewelers that carry the Damiani line in California? I'm so disappointed because I was just in NY, so I could have seen it in person.

That must be huge! I saw a 4 ct Graff marquise diamond that was D and IF at Saks this past weekend that was $250k. It was really impressive.

Chic.Shopper, you have very petite fingers and marquise diamonds tend to look large for their weight. I have a size 4.5 finger and a 1.17 carat marquise solitaire that people regularly guess is over 2 carats. I bet a .75 carat stone would look huge on your finger.
