I have a beautiful hand carved malachite necklace, I purchased from eBay. Slller listed malachite as only gem stone HOWEVER; I think the round beads look somewhat like turquoise. Any one have an opinion? Or facts? I can’t wait to hear from you :) image.jpg

I’m sorry could you please specify why you believe this?

The leaves I know are malachite, it is the littler beads in question.

Yes, the beads have “lines” in them which is typical of malachite. Turquoise is usually also more blue in colour.
very beautiful.

...and wouldn't turquoise be a terrible choice for ~ 4mm beads? Unless they were mostly plastic, I would think they would just crumble with drilling, etc.

This is gorgeous... I agree, the smaller beads are also definitely malachite. The banding is just not as pronounced, because they're not going to use top grade material for 4mm beads. But, again, beautiful necklace!
