Making a custom semimount

What do you need to do this?

This is essentially a variation on things I've been asking on the boards here - but essentially my FF isn't happy about shipping the stone outside my country to the US (to a PS-reputable vendor): it's not the money but he likes the stone I've bought and doesn't want to risk losing it..

So I thought that perhaps I could get the mount custom-made and shipped here to be set? This is my stone - a cushion shape of 7.99x7.98x5.19mm. I am guessing it should fit an 8mm cushion setting - so a custom one should be no issue?



Also, how much are you usually charged for setting the stone itself (as in just attaching stone to the mount)? Tia!

Ask the vendor you sent to use if with pics and good dimentioms they could just make the setting for you. No harm in asking right?

just did! can't find anything on PS - and thought someone might like to know the same.. will post back when I get an answer!
