Hi everyone! I''ve been holding out on you with my wedding pics but I finally have some to post and wanted to share.
My DH and I were engaged in Aug 06 and we were wed in Maine in Aug 07 at our family''s farm. My mother planned the whole wedding and I was the luckiest bride ever! We had a whole weekend of events including swimming at the cove on my family''s property and a rehearsal lobster feast at a beautiful seaside restaurant followed by a sunset cruise with Champaign, chocolate covered strawberries, and a great jazz band (4 guys) hired from the local high school. The wedding day started with rain but turned gorgeous in time for the ceremony which was held in a historic German church guilt in the 1700s. The church is no longer in use since there''s no electricity or running water. But they do allow weddings to take place there and my parents were married there nearly 30 years ago on the same weekend. It was really special to do the wedding there since my father passed away when I was young and it felt like a way to include him.
The reception was held in a tent in the back yard of my family''s farm. We had a wonderful buffet dinner and a reggae band. The band showed up 4 hours late but it worked out fine since no one was ready to dance until then anyway
Here are some pics for you. The first one is of my girlfriends helping button me up. I didn''t have any wedding party but three of my closest friends helped me get ready which was wonderful.
