Wedding Mac Make-Up Trial

I had a make-up trial on Friday. I really like how the eyes turned out, but the lips were a definite no go. My FI''s reaction to the lips was "oh my lord what is going on with your mouth." I immediatly took it off before I took pics, but you can still see some of the residue. It was bright red. I''m not afraid of bright lips, but it was too much for a wedding.

I have an appt with the Bobbi Brown counter today, but I wonder if I should even bother.

What do you guys think?

Bobbie Brown has great lipsticks, I''d go. I like your eyes too. make sure you take this pic with you and tell Bobbie Brown what you like, and what you did like.

I think you should remember that counter girls are there to sell make-up and are not trained make-up artists. They are also limited to the products in their own line, which may not be the best shade for your coloring.

your eyes look great. I would go with a more neutral tone for your lips, bobby brown makes some great lip glosses and so does bare essentials.

Is it my monitor or did you already wipe off the lipstick? Because I don't think that color is bad at all...and the eyes look great!

ETA: Sorry, I saw you said you wiped it off. The color your lips are now have that sexy "just kissed" look though!

I do like the lip stained look. I''m normally a gloss girl, but he recommended lipstick for picture purposes. FI really liked the eyes, but think I''ll head over to Bobbi Brown this evening.

Here you go! I guess this is too late, but I think the Mac trial looked great! I agree red is probably too bright, but I think a pink shade or more neutral shade would be beautiful!

i love the eyes! i wish i could''ve gotten away with something like that, but i would;ve smeared it all the way to my ears! i think it looks very glamorous but without being over the top. it''s perfection! i would go to bobbi brown, too, though, just for comparison. if you hate it, you''ll love the mac makeup even more, and if you love it, it''s an improvement, so you can''t go wrong!

I did make the trip to Bobbi Brown, but it didn''t even compare to MAC. I think I could''ve done it on my own. I did like the lips at BB (Ruby), so I purchased the lipstick, but will go to MAC the day of my wedding...2 days to go!!!!!!
