Luxury Brands and diamond cut quality

We shopped the brands today in Hawai with loupe and ideal-scope. Tiffany, Bvlgari,Cartier and Chanel, as well as some of the chains.

(One independant had a copy from an Australain airline magazine of one of myr full page advertisments for pink diamonds (with logo and address cut off the bottom) in his shop window! Hallmark jwelers - we thought it very funny.)

Cut quality is bad, even in Tiffany.

We were inspired to do this after reading an article in this weeks economist about luxury brands, if you can get it it is an excellent read, page 63.

BTW leonid and I had an excellent week skiing. But he is back to work now shipping Ideal-scopes and loading diamond data

The best service was in Chanel.

The best prices, well there were none, but only Tiffany had stocks of larger diamonds.

Bulgari sell only design with small diamonds.
