Hi guys,
I have used all of your input and rings to design a new setting for my F color, SI1 1.36 radiant (5.8x6.8). It is a custom halo (more bling for my buck). I just received the drawings and I have 2 questions for the designers and/or ring experts out there.

First, my intention is to have a delicate halo that emphasizes my radiant not drowned it. I can''t tell by this drawing what kind of look it will have. Are the diamonds in the halo too big? Or will they look a bit daintier once it''s made?

Second, I am not sold on the band part coming up onto the sides of the halo. I think I want them to come up under the halo. I haven''t seen any rings like this before. Has anyone else? And does anyone have a pic?

Oh, I also set my radiant east to west, which is not what they did here so they have to fix that. I have posted a few pics of my ring now also just so you can see the diamond.

Thanks for your help!

WOWZA! Personally I like it just the way it is! I wouldn''t worry about the diamonds being too big. From what I hear, they always look way daintier IRL. Also, the fact that the sides come up to meet the halo was one of the things that jumped out at me as really pretty! There was a setting at a Jared that did that for my solitaire and I wanted it really bad. (But when I didn''t buy my diamond there I chose not to go in and buy just the setting.) To me, it makes it look much more fluid and pretty. I also really like it north/south, but that''s really a personal call. I think you''re gonna be blown away when you see this ring in real life though! It looks like a beauty!

VERY pretty, especially the sides! But I also prefer the north-south.

Thanks guys! You have me second guessing myself! My husband proposed to me with the diamond east to west so it''s kind of like his "last tie" if you know what I mean to the new ring. For some reason he is attached to it that way. I like it both ways actually.

I guess I will have them wax it with the sides up and go from there. I can see how that would make it more fluid. It''s hard to visualize the final outcome from pics. But thanks for your comments!

I love it! I definitely don''t think you''ll have to worry about the halo stones overwhelming. Can''t wait to see the finished product!

I love it and I think that either way (n/s, e/w) it will look gorgeous! CAD''s are always bulkier looking than the finished product, so I don''t think you have anything to worry about.

Hey radiant. I wanted to tell you that I have a halo and the band on my ring comes up under the halo. Also, I wanted a dainter halo so the stone is set a little higher than the halo so that the stones are slightly underneath my center if you know what I mean. Let me know if you want pics. BTW...I think the cad looks nice but personally I''d change the band so that it comes up under the halo like you suggested.

I think it''s perfect, the halo looks beautiful and I love a delicate halo

Hi EM1 I would love to see pics of your radiant. Is it a similar size?

Thanks!

Woops, I should add that mine is an emerald and its a 2.75 but the shape is still the same. Let me see if I can find a side profile pic that shows what I mean. Oh and its not E-W set but the purpose is to show you the profile and they way the band meets the halo. I''ll be back.

I have a million pics so I''m trying to decide which one will show you what you want to see.

I can see how the band meets the halo. Your ring is very pretty! And big! Thanks for sharing that pic, I am going to ask them to redraw it with the band like that and see how it looks.

Thanks. The pic is magnified a few 100 times but you get the idea. The band curves in and up under the halo. The pics don''t really capture it well but you get the idea. With the plain platinum I think yours is going to be beautiful.
