ohhh Yes I have totally been totally hit with the analysis paralysis. It is crazy how much I am analyzing every diamond on the net etc. I just want to make sure I get the best thing possible so that I have so much pride in what I am giving her. Thank you for the input I should probably just order one and be happy with it. I agree I probably can't tell the differance but on paper and analysis it makes sense to me

You are meeting your requirement of giving her a gorgeous diamond by choosing GIA Ex diamonds for cut quality, and by checking that they are scoring well on the HCA you are narrowing the field of well cut stones even more to a specific sub-set of beauties! In no way am I suggesting those things do not matter. But once you have narrowed to field of eligibles to ones meeting those criteria, the remaining variance is mostly on paper. Listen, when I started buying diamonds and learning about cut I was like you, very set on a certain type of on paper proportion. But now that I have owned... well more diamonds than I care to mention ;)) , most of which I have sent on to new homes ... I have seen a wide range of well cut stones, and I know, unless you want to make diamonds your hobby, you will be happy with either of the stones you chose. They are excellent selections.

Now, if you want to bite onto the diamond obsession apple, then we can help you find a diamond of a particular flavour of appearance or we can help you choose and *even more* specialized make of RB cut -- a "super ideal" round, or another branded cut, or even one with more pavilion mains. Things that might be noticable to your eye! But it takes a lot more than just lgf difference from GIA (who round numbers, so the numbers on the reports lack precision) to really see the on paper nuances in real life.

Let us know if we can help.
