Love my setting, but want platinum instead of WG

I've had my setting for about three years now and the 14WG is turning slightly yellow. I love the setting but want to get a new one made in platinum. Has anyone had an identical setting made but in a different material? Should I just save my money?

Have you gotten it re-rhodium plated?

If you haven't yet tried re-rhodium plating, as motownmama suggested, I think you might give it a try before going to the expense of resetting in platinum. I've had my white gold setting about 8 years and needed to replate after four or five, and felt it was like new after the replating. It could buy you time for minimal expense (I think it was about $70) in comparison to what a new setting would be, and you can see if that is really what you want.

I prefer platinum because it doesn't turn yellow but I also find that it is a LOT more grey than the white gold.
