Love at first site, Finnish Aqua/beryl

I went to a gem fair today and bought this beauty from the owner of the mine. An aqua/beryl from Luumaki Finland, cut by a Finnish master cutter. Weights 9,5 ct and so gorgeous. There is not a lot of quality large gems originating from Finland, so this has sentimental value to me.

Finnish labradorite is another popular gem from Finland. It comes in rare shades of purple not found elsewhere.

Enjoy your aquamarine, it's very bright and beautifully cut.

I’m planning to make a pendant. I have another one of the same color but smaller (cherry blossom cut) and I have been wearing that a lot. I find I wear these paler colors a lot more than the bright ones.
