I lost my 3ct. diamond bracelet this morning at my home.......I've looked everywhere that I went and can't find it! How could I loose it in my house? I'm so upset.....it's one my DH gave me several years ago!

did you carefully check the clothing and shoes you were wearing, and perhaps loose linings of your purse or other carry bags? If it is in your house, I am sure it will turn up!

Turn off the lights and search with a flashlight. The diamonds will stand out.
Shake out all sheets and linens including towels. Go through garbage before setting out curbside. Chek floor of closet where you hang coats-some bracelets will snag on the sleeve lining and may fall when hung. You will find it. Good luck.

Ah, so sorry to hear that. :(

I lost a nice piece of jewelry once and found it a couple of months later in a weird little pocket in my jewelry cabinet. By then, I'd figured someone must have stolen it. I was doubly happy to find it AND to be able to stop thinking that someone who I invited into my home had stolen from me.

Anyway, sending good thoughts your way that your bracelet soon shows up!

Thanks for the flashlight tip! I had to get to work so left home after looking a few minutes. I was also outside with my dogs this morning so hopefully it isn't there. I'll look more this afternoon! Hopefully I'll find it. But thank goodness it's insured!

Dogs have been known to consume jewelry. So, you might expand your search to the area the dogs do their business. Also, look for any sign of distress in the dogs for the next 96 hours.

I once found a huge diamond earring outside once simply by glancing on the ground. Once I picked it up and looked at the setting, I knew it belonged to my mother in law (I was outside her house walking in). So glad I found something she lost.

My mother has found a diamond ring on the ground though. A real one. .80 carats and the ring size fit.

Good luck with your search. I’m sure you’ll find it if it was lost in your house

Omg..My last dog ate the plastic covering over my husband’s suit from the dry cleaner..I called the vet and he said to watch for the beginning of him passing it..so I was on hinny alert for a while...I was so worried about the dog that I didn’t quite understand what I had to do when I saw it. I was to call the vet and he would talk me through it. I had to pull it out very gently...Omg..That was the grossest thing I ever had to do..but I was his momma and mommas have to do what we have to do!

Also..look between the seats in the car. I found my earring in there once.
My friend was a passenger in a friend’s car. The friend of hers traded in the car a long time after that and a very honest car repair man found it when they took out the seats.

I'd lost my keys almost a year ago and just found them last night. I was cleaning out some purses and one of them kept jingling, oddly. Turns out, the keys had slipped into a small opening were literally inside the purse between the interior and exterior. I hope you find your bracelet!

:eek2:I think I would have called in sick from work.
I lost a ring once and found it in between the pages of my cookbook. It will show up! Hopefully you didn’t walk the dog very far. It’s a horrible feeling, at least it is insured!!!

I lost an earring while trying on clothes at the mall... I looked everywhere in the fitting room, shook out all my clothes, finally gave up. Stopped by Tiffany to see if it was possible to order a replacement single earring, which they were checking on for me. That night I found it lodged in my bra, somehow wedged firmly into the material so I couldn't even feel it (and it wasn't a delicate diamond stud, a good-sized 5-petal flower from their garden collection!) Fingers crossed you'll find it when you get home!

I've searched my whole house on hands and knees with my flashlight. Outside where I was this morning. checked the dogs bed, back porch, garage, etc....... NO LUCK! I am just sick! I know I have insurance on it, but it has more sentimental value than monetary value! :(

I once lost an almost two carat antique diamond ring and looked everywhere for it, including going down to our apartment’s dumpster and looking in there (not a good idea). At some point that day, I had a flash of inspiration and recalled an unfamiliar sound which I had heard that morning while i was was cleaning up. Like a “clink” sound at the sink. So I checked our garbage disposal and found it in there.

Another time, i lost an even bigger ring and I asked someone else to help me with “fresh eyes”. That ring was also found by the sharp eyed artist who helped me look in exactly the same places I hadn’t seen it, he did see it.

I suggest you sit quietly and meditate on when and where you might have lost it. Sometimes your brain can regenerate a memory and you’ll know exactly where you lost it. Then ask someone else to help you search. I hope you find it. And I’m sorry you are going through this.

If you didn't leave the house with it on, it is in there somewhere. Keep looking - it will turn up!

I'm really sorry you're going through this!! :(2 I will tell you that my DH has zero concept of small items, and he has knocked earrings and other small items off the counter onto the floor and trash container sometimes. I cannot retrain him to be more aware.....

I suggest you sleep on it, and start again tomorrow with fresh eyes, and recruit your husband to help you. If you have kids, nieces or nephews, recruit them to help you and offer a reward. The more eyes, the better your chances. Best of luck and I hope to hear you have found it.

So sorry. My mom lost her wedding ring a while back and we looked everywhere and couldn't find it. About two years later, she decided to clean out a drawer and there it was.

Breath.
Think about when you last remember seeing it on.
Think carefully about everything you did yesterday.
Start your search again, one room at a time, slowly and carefully.
If you wear it always, strip your bed, shake your duvet and check your pillow cases.
Pull the bed out, get a torch and a broom and carefully check everywhere under your bed. It could have fallen to the floor and unbeknownst to you, been “kicked under the bed”. Check your handbag, empty it out.
What did you wear yesterday, check those clothes inside out and hems. Check your shoes. Recheck the drawers you get your undies out of, your socks, your T shirts. Check underneath any dressers or other furniture.
Did you unpack the dishwasher, put groceries away? Check all these places. Check inside the fridge and freezer too.
Check your cutlery drawers, where you keep pots and pans. Any cupboard or drawer you may have opened to get something out or put something away.
If you put anything into the garbage yesterday, get gloves on and empty the garbage out onto a flat surface. Check it thoroughly.
If you went out in the car, that too needs checking. Especially down the sides of the seats, underneath, glovebox etc.
Don’t give up just yet, be calm and look extra carefully.
Sometimes when in a flutter about losing an item our brain isn’t focussed properly and is going at a million miles an hour.
So calm and steady finds the diamond bracelet.

@LightBright this made me feel a bit sick to think what would have happened if you hadn't remembered the noise
OP I hope you find it. No good suggestions other than maybe walk through everything you remember doing that morning from the last time you definitely remember having it on your wrist. Have someone else with you to check with fresh eyes. Good luck!

@Taylorbug! I'm sorry you have not yet found the bracelet but I feel you *will* find it. It will turn up. I have a strong feeling yes you will get to wear it again.

Have you checked under your area rugs?
Check your clothes, shoes and the bottom of closets.
Check the trap in all your sinks and check behind cushions.

I know how stressed out you must be feeling and I am continuing to send found dust your way. It will turn up.

I agree. Relax, close your eyes, and retrace your movements. Visualize.

Then interview the dog and interrogate the cat.

Seriously, I know it can be done. After almost an hour of sheer last year we drove 18 miles back to a deserted beach and found our new 1.5 carat WF ring.

Here's a good one...

I found a large Rolex at a blackjack table in the Bahamas about 30 years ago. Nice watch, but way too big for me. It came flying in from the craps table at the end of the aisle and landed on a chair at the empty table next to us. I held it up to the ceiling cameras, stood there holding it above my head for the entire casino to see and didn't draw a response.
There were 3 empty tables between our table and the dice table. Ten minutes later we saw people crawling around on the floor under the dice table looking for something, so a few of us wandered down and asked them what was up. The guy was in a panic - he'd dropped his new Rolex.

As best we could figure, he'd given his buddy a high five at some point and the watch had flown a good 30 or 40 feet to a soft landing on a padded chair. It never touched the floor. Anyway, keep looking and good luck.
