Looking to sell inherited jewelry

I inherited a number of pieces of jewelry -- a few diamond pieces, and a few gold pieces. I want to sell them, and I would vey much appreciate recommendations wrt to where I could sell them -- either in the NYC area, or online.

From the knowledge tab at the top right hand side of the screen, there is this link for independent appraisers in your area.
Depending upon the value and size of the jewellery or diamonds you may want to pay and use one so you know what a fair price for asking would be.

I am also looking to sell our engagement ring- have only had it for 2 months but unexpectedly are in a tough financial situation and will need to scale back. I posted to idonowidont but really have no idea how much to ask for when selling this diamond. It's beautiful- eye clean, large, excellent cut, and there are no yellowish tones, etc. does anyone have a ballpark idea of how much to ask for? The platinum band and diamond are in perfect condition. Appraised at $13,500. I appreciate any help! Her is a 1.75 K/VS2 so a bit smaller/1 color grade higher/1 clarity grade higher priced at $8520 + $1k plat setting = $9520.
So you are basically asking full price for a lower clarity/color stone then what I posted. While many people on PS find L colored
stones to be very attractive I think the larger population does not agree (just because they dont know what one can looks like).
So you are looking for a particular buyer that appreciates lower color stones. Appraisals are usually higher than what one pays
for retail. So to be honest, if you really need to sell this stone I think you are going to have to go lower on the price (just my
opinion).
