Hello everyone. I am looking to purchase an engagement ring and have found a setting from frank darling I will post the link below. My girlfriend is a size 4.5 and I am primarily looking in the 1.3-1.5 carat range cushion cut. I know absolutely nothing about stones and I would really appreciate some help. Something preferably vv1 and up and g and up. I was originally looking at vrai, brilliant earth. But settled on frank darling as the reviews on others weren’t so great. I wouldn’t be opposed to buying a complete set from frank darling but if there is decent stones out there for cheaper I will purchase just the setting from them. Thank you all.187B5AF0-4254-40E1-8AAE-47669535C6B0.png

Let us know your budget for the diamond only and all in budget. This community is very helpful! =)2

Sorry I forget to add that. I would like to spend around 1500 dollars on the stone. Would be willing to spend a little more not a hard budget just a range

You've come to the right place! There are so many experts on here and I'm sure DejaWiz or Kim will respond as soon as they can.

Frank Darling is a known vendor on PS, but you definitely don't have to be limited to just one vendor. The pros on here will search all the vendors for you and come up with some great choices, then you decide!

Can you post a video and the lab report?

Do you have a video? Fancy cuts cant be chosen based on stats alone

I would have to schedule a virtual consultation to see it

I would stick to stones you can see and evaluate, otherwise you'll be guessing at random. The stone looks pretty well cut, but warmer than a G.

I think the stone looks pretty good as far as the faceting pattern and light return.

IGI seems to be a grade lower than what they state. Some are more color sensitive than others. My mined diamond is G color and lab diamond is a D. I had to get used to my D being so white, but love it.
I had studs earrings that were I color and returned them as they were to warm for me.

Donny,
Are you aware your profile says you are in the trade??

Its got some odd darkness down in the stone that I'm not too fond of. The other one has some darkness too but it looks more
typical than this stone. (It is normal to have some facets that are off/dark at times...its just a matter of how long they are off and
does it help show off the brilliance of the stone.) In reality, at normal size, it may not be an issue but I didn't see a way to make
it smaller at Frankdarling or perhaps the buttons just weren't working on my laptop.

I 100% agree and got totally flamed for saying it.
