Hello all,

I have a birthday this month (yay) and I'm considering buying myself a stacking band, but I don't want to break the bank. I could use some suggestions!

I'm looking for either diamond or colored gemstone stackers (preferably sapphire or emerald) in a size 7, 7.5, or 8. I like both eternity and half-eternity. Here's the problem...I would like to spend under $500. Any thoughts?

The only ones I can think of at that price point are offered by Diamond Zone. I think they have size 6.5 or size 8 only. I have not seen them in person so I can't comment on the quality. I have bought from them before and have been very pleased. I would call about ordering a size 8.

They have several different styles with various gemstones, so look through all their listings. Not all are available in the sizes you want, however.

I was going to say mydiamondzone on eBay as well. I got a full eternity, engraved, platinum, yellow sapphire band for $325 (vintage). They also have new. They allow you to return with no penalty. I also got a full eternity 14k with diamonds from a private eBay seller for about the same amount. Just be sure to check all the feedback and the return policy. I also have ones from second hand stores - just be prepared to take a risk. I bought 3 rings at a place in FL for $400: one was 14K gold with milgran, one silver with some green stones (I figured glass) and one they billed at 18K wg, but they didn't know if the sapphires were real. I took a flyer, and had it appraised. - yup - real!

Whoa! I want to see your platinum one with yellow sapphires!

What color metal? If you are open to yellow gold I've found some really lovely pieces.

Thank you everybody for these excellent suggestions! I'm going to check out DiamondZone because it seems like quite a few PSers have had luck with them.

Gypsy: I have no real preference for metal color. I would love to see your suggestions! That eBay band you posted is gorgeous. Thank you!

Really I would love to find something with art deco appeal, and would be super excited to find something with step cuts. I won't dream on my budget, though!
