Looking for Sphene

I'm looking around eBay because it's not an expensive purchase and I don't see the usual vendors having anything available at the moment. I'm in the search for a pair of round green sphene earrings. I've been wanting a pair for a while but I can't get Davi's sphene stud(s?) out of my mind.

I am looking for anything 6 to 8 mm in size. I saw a gorgeous green pair but they are too small at 5 mm

Is BestGemsForYou a reputable vendor?
What about CaratsGems?
OilPearl is safe for sphenes, right?

Any other recommendation?

Vance gems had a pair of bezel set sphenes at Intergem. Maybe he can send you a pic if Intergem isn't going to be in your area soon.

Vance doesn't take pictures but I still think they are a good outfit. They aren't into modern technology and prefer face to face sales. I also want to prong set the sphenes with a loop for my interchangeable earrings. In looking back at Davi's thread, he purchased 2 stones separately from Tan, then had Ruffy's Dad recut them to match because the nice looking sphenes are rarely sold as pairs. Following suit, I just bid and won one stone. One down and one more to go! I hope the sphene looks as nice as pictured. It's already a round so no tweaking necessary.

I too, have been semi-searching for a pair, so always keep my eyes open. To be honest, I see them regularly on ebay, but can't remember where, lol! I have not bought from any of the vendors you list, but others have bought from caratsgems and oilpearl and I have not heard anything egregiously bad about either (which is an indication right there). The other I know nothing about. From my casual searching, they come up periodically, so just keep watching - they will pop up sooner or later.

I did see some by MC but there are issues with the sphenes. The 6.5 mm green pair are not eye clean. The other yellower green 6.2 mm pair are also not eye clean. The other two pairs are more honey than green. Thanks for trying.

I know this may sound silly, but part of the reason I ask, is that sometimes they seem so...well, fake, that I am curious to know how they come across when small and set like that. Don't get me wrong, I love Davi's earrings (and think you do too, right?)
