Looking for some opinions on this stone

Hi!

I've been searching for a while and I put this stone on hold. I just found pricescope recently and am thrilled that there is a place to get objective info and opinions. So here is the cert, any input is greatly appreciated so thanks in advance!

I have requested photos, but it is going to take a few days. I could also get the stone overnighted on monday for free to look at it or take to an appraiser. I have no obigation to keep the diamond. Is it better to see it in person? (the answer seems fairly obvious, but hey...I am a newbie).

I think seeing it in person is good if you are on the cusp of a color or clarity that you are unsure about, but with G VS2 you should be ok. I think seeing it in person (or sending to an appraiser) is valuable if you have two or 3 choices to choose from.

1.4 ct princesses are rather rare.

Who are you buying this from?

Rare because it's an odd size? Could you elaborate on that if you don't mind? The stone is from james allen and it's priced at 7800.

Rare because most cutters try to aim for 1.5 cts. You'll see a lot of 1.3s and 1.5s.

That is a very good price for an AGS Ideal princess.

I thought the price was very good as well, the cynic in me is a little suspicious. I havn't been able to locate a comparable stone below 8500. But, from what I understand the reasons for the price could range anywhere from the vendor just wanted a quick sale to it being a bad vs2. I guess I won't know until I get a look at it.
