Hi! My name is Chris and I’m new to this forum. I came across a necklace and I’m looking for some help identifying it. I took it to a jeweler that was able to tell me that it’s most likely early Victorian and appears to be unaltered except for the chain. This particular jeweler didn’t specialize in antique jewelry so I tried searching for someone with a bit more experience. Performing a google search and looking on yelp didn’t reveal any resources here in Chicago where I might be able to get it identified and appraised. So any help the community may be able to offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all in advance.
The style of your necklace reminds me of Art Nouveau jewelry. I don't know any appraisers in Chicago who specialize in antique jewelry, but you could try this: https://www.instagram.com/jewelrynerd/?hl=en
That particular Instagram user specializes in antique jewelry and offers appraisal services. She might be able to tell you something from your photos.
