My son's fiancee posted these ring pictures on pinterest, so he is looking for a similar setting on-line at a place he can get a decent diamond to go with it. His budget is $4-$7K total (school teacher, so can't go over $7K) From the advice I've gotten from this site, which has been very helpful, he is trying to find a similar setting and a diamond with these parameters within that budget (if possible). Can anyone recommend some links for setting/diamond?
Cut: Ideal
Clarity: VS1 or VS2
Color: G or H
Table: 55-58
Depth: 60-62.3
Crown angle: 34-35
Pavillion angle: 40.6-41
He (and I) are total novices when it comes to this. Many of the terms you pros use go over our head and don't mean anything to us lay folks. I could look at a good & bad ASET photo and not know the difference. Should he even by trying to shop on-line or go to a jeweler to buy where he can actually talk to someone in person? I'm trying to help him get the best ring he can for his money, but we are both getting overwhelmed with the overload of info and what is best. Keep in mind this ring is for a 23 year old young lady, who is also not a diamond expert.
Thanks,
Jana
