I'm looking at the three diamonds below. My girlfriend has tiny fingers (3.5) so we both agreed somewhere between .75 to 1 carat is a good size. All three diamonds are excellent cut and I basically want the diamond to stunning. Before, I wanted a 1 carat, color G, VS2 as a minimum (cut must be excellent) for under $7000 but I guess I'm being unrealistic as its hard to find. Now I have to sacrifice something. .75 is too small and I think my gf would love a 1 carat. So I'm down to three choices. My questions are:
1) what do you guys think of the three diamonds below?
2) is it true that a 1 carat diamond will hold its value better than say a 0.91 even though the 0.91 has better specs?
3) I personally am drawn to the 0.91 because of the great specs. The only thing is that it's not a one carat. Would I be able to distinguish between these three rocks?
I realize not bring able to see in person doesn't help but the cost savings of buying online is so much better!
