Recently expanded my search from an OEC/OMC lab to an actual antique stone / ring. I am trying my hardest to use some seasonal discounts to my benefit, and stretch my budget the furthest! - and humbly ask for any available assistance from the group of expert searchers and finders assembled here :)

REQUEST: If anyone happens to see any great Old European / Transitional Cut antique diamonds or engagement rings while perusing Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals, I'd be forever grateful for you to passed them along here / to me :) and/or share your advice on any found/shared here to date...

I know it may be ambitious, but here are the specs I'm looking for: ~2-3.5 ct OEC / OMC / Transitional diamond or diamond ring
  • beyond carat, ideally looking for ~9mm width/coverage across finger (min ~8mm, to a max of 10mm diamond)
  • prioritize fire / pastel flashes & consistency across facets (in brightness, contrast, and symmetry - with minimal dark spots or shadows/windowing and no crushed ice areas or too disproportionately long facets that stand out/draw attention)
  • open to warm diamonds, even light brown or peachy hues
  • also open to rose cut or antique step cuts
  • if set, prefer yellow gold, but open to other metals
  • obviously open to lab diamonds (which is why I shared the highest carat / dimensions comfortable with; I don't know that I'd find a natural diamond of that size within budget for this piece)
  • Budget: $10-15,000

...As well as some initial pretties I've found/am considering from my own searches thus far (and would love any feedback / insight on stones / styles included!!):

Thanks in advance for any help you may share by way of feedback, links, good luck wishes, or otherwise!!

This is a great time to buy!

This looks to be a gorgeous ring. I just wish it had a GIA cert. The retail store is located in Palatine, IL. I would call them directly and see how much of a Black Friday (returnable) deal that they can give you.

Many of the listings you posted, while lovely, are from "pricier" retailers.

Here's another listing from Exquisite Jewelers for comparison:

More to come...

This has promise - this seller has their own IG so you can also contact direct for best price:

Loving the look of this stone but it’s a target ring

He has good pricing imho. As does the seller that @lulu_ma linked. Exquisite has their own store near Chicago so again you could get a lower price by contacting them directly:)

This stone has the making of being a great performer. A bit higher than your budget, but the vendor is having a Black Friday 10% sale and you may be able to negotiate a wire discount...

If you are willing to go warmer, this is a big look:

A tad spready:

Looks like a performer with kozibe:

Lots of OEC options on this site. I just depends on the flavor you are after.

Here's one OMC-pretty but small face-up. I don't love their OMC selection:

I actually love the center stone in the “target” ring. I’ve never tried on that style but am definitely open to it. It’s very pretty!! Thanks for sharing these vendors, they actually have a lot to explore between ebay and instagram..

Those are beautiful! It seems like the have a lot in that style, with the one like the first posted being older / ‘more antique’ than others lol they also have a really pretty gold set oec. I am going to call tomorrow to explore further!
