Looking at a vendor in MD

James Allen is in Maryland. I highly recommend getting an appointment with them.

Also Gary Dutton at NiceIce is right in DC Metro.

If it were me, AFTER I read the diamond tutorials on here and on Goodoldgold''s website, I would give both those vendors a call and start with the one I felt most comfortable with... ie. clicked with.

Yea i''m from MD and purchased from James Allen. But you don''t need to be from MD to purchase from him. I love my diamond that I got, and I think they are excellent people over there at James Allen. However if your saying your FROM MD and are looking for a vendor the only other one I would reccomend besides James Allen is Smyth. They are a family owned shop in Timonium, MD. I believe the website is www.albertsmyth.com They carry QUALITY GIA and AGS graded diamonds and all the major designers as well as thier own stock of settings. Thier very trustworthy and i''ve known people who won''t go anywhere else BUT there here in MD. I will tell you this though since they are a regular store, they charge as such. You will not find the type of bargin there that you would online. I was going to purchase a diamond from them by I got round about the same quality but bigger from James Allen for the same price.

I actually agree with your conclusions...but there''s some confusion about the piece in the middle...though I can guess why.

1) Garry Dutton is in Arizona
2) Nice Ice is in Oregon

3) But both represent Infinity, and Icemine has been in DC (though, per the Infinity site, they are now in NY).

But...back to Gypsy''s conclusions...I agree with them completely....if I wanted to make sure I saw up close & personal the options I would purchase. This might depend on how much time I had.
