I fell in love with the stone Jypsie bought for her Mom...so I got it''s twin!

Dan Stair Purple Spinel
1.07 carat modified round brilliant cut with 8 extra facets on the bottom
Dan describes it as medium purple with pink flashes

Have no idea how I will set it yet. I''m still waiting for my setting to arrive for my asscher amethyst. I thought maybe the pillbox setting from Sally. Opinions anyone?

Thanks Linda. I''m waiting to see it but I really liked that Sally setting, maybe in rose gold, if she has that. The idea was to make a you and me ring with my dh birthstone, topaz. I''ve been looking around for an imperial topaz to get a idea on the price for one in a similar size to the spinel but no luck.

I thought there was someone on ps who had a good place to get imperial topaz but I have forgotten now who it was who mentioned it.
