Jeweler ordered 2 in to look at (Ill try to remember measurments), they don''t stock Asschers regularly but ordered two in for me:

The 1.21 looked almost the same size, very close, he said in a setting you probably wouldn''t be able to tell much:

1.21 Ct VS2
G
VG polish
VG symmetry
roughly 6.07 x 6.1? x 4.1 (close)
Depth: 68 or 70
Table: ???
Crown: 7

1.5CT VS1
G
VG polish
VG symmetry
roughly 6.3? x 6.1? x4.98 (close)
Depth: 74
Table: 60
Crown: 10

That being said, I like the 1.5 better, side by side, shined better, cut better, better pattern (I think this was b/c of the longer angled corner edges .i.e. larger steps.

1. Now, that being said...what''s a rough price range?

2. Now, what''s a rough EGL price range (I didn''t see a ''t'' but the first number was definately a 2 (I''m guess Israel)?

I thought they were nice diamonds and on par with what I''ve seen under a scope as far as ''Inclusions''....

...color...Hell, they looked good to me but I''m no expert

....cut...Hell, they shined both natural (outside light), inside, and the little box thingy.

...anyway, I thought they were nice and was curious what these might fetch (including one''s thoughts on the EGL 2-3 grade lower rating)

that's a no brainer large table flat crown vs a stone with a 60% table and a acceptable but lowish crown height is going to compare just as described.

A 10% crown on a 74% depth means there are a lot better asschers out there I wouldn't go with either personally.

The pricescope search on the front page will bring up comp prices.

...see that''s my problem...I was kinda looking for non-biast ''prices''...

This company doesn''t claim to work in Asschers, but my Mother has been dealing with him for 20+ years (small, very small B&M)...I''ve gone to Shane, Solomon, DGegllar, etc). When my, soon to be fiancee, and I started looking it was all about size for her....no pun intended...

...that being said, y''all (pricescope) has almost made me a diamond snob (no offense), but I kinda look at a diamond like I do a car, bang for the buck, horsepower, styling, safety, resale....

...she looks at it similar to ''namebrand''...

That being said, he quoted me $4700 for the 1.21 and $5900 for the 1.5.....even though it''s EGL, it still looked good to me....especially in the inclusions....as far as the other categories, I myselft can''t tell much anyway.....

...I just think if this is a 1.5 G, VS1, at 2 grades crappier it''s still 1.5 weight SI1(which it''s not) maybe vs2, but maybe a I/J color and good polish/symmetry instead of very good @ $2K lower than any GIA I see....at any price...for any cut/color/etc @ 1.5ct...

...it''s just hard to pass up considering the size....and Hell I''m educated more than she is now I and swear I won''t wear a wedding ring....so to hell with her, right?!?...lol

...I''m just looking for opinions/advice....pro/cons....it just seems hard to pass up.

$5900 is ballpark for that one there are some with simular specs for between $5500 and $5700 so paying slightly higher than that at a b&m isnt out of line.
Should you decide too go for it try offering $5700 ......
