I was cruising the Internet and came upon this:

http://eriebasin.com/cw_sapphire5.html

How pretty is that? Has anyone bought from that vendor before?

There''s lots of other cool items on that site too. Enjoy!

I recently bought a vintage ring that had a garnet with a halo of rose-cut diamonds, at first the rose cuts threw me off because I''m used to the sparkle of brilliant cuts, but it''s really grown on me! Of course...I can''t resize the ring because it''s vintage and the jeweler''s afraid that if he sizes it down 2 szs the diamonds might fall out...

What a gorgeous ring!!!

Ohhh yummy!

Pretty! I love rose cuts.

its really cool looking.

smithsmith,

Nice design concept.

The shank of the ring is awfully thin though. I can almost guarantee you that you will bend it out of shape if you are not extremely and I mean extremely careful.

From the functionality point of view I do not have a good vibe.

I love it and the cut. It''s beautiful. I agree though that the band is thin.

Yeah, it does look like it might get bent up pretty easily. I would imagine the 18k gold makes it more bendy as well!

I believe it''s my first view of a coloured gemstone in a rose cut. I wonder how the light play would differ versus a traditional faceted stone. Less brilliance? Inclusions would be more obvious?

Etsy has a few rose cut colored gem rings for cheap if you''re interested.

Thanks, but I like mine to have fine colour too while being at least 2 carats and upwards. I''m incredibly spoiled.

Wow, thanks for sharing. I love the rose cut and the antique look!

Very cool - I don''t think I''ve really seen a rose cut sapphire before, but that''s really pretty
