Long time lurker's first post :-) I just placed an order with IDJ for a 5-stone ring.

And I mentioned "PS quality diamonds". Did I get that right ?

I was told the stones will be F/G in color, SI clarity (but 100% eye clean), and excellent to ideal cut.

I originally wanted VS clarity, but the sales rep talked me out of it saying the SI will be absolutely eye clean. I also wanted ideal cut, and she said they will try for that, but the diamonds will be excellent cut at least and "very very pretty".

As it stands, the ring will be in 14k yellow gold, u-prong setting, 1.25 ctw. Is there anything else I need to specify / discuss with IDJ before finalizing?

I'm sure the stones will be eye clean but you could request no dark carbon inclusions, however, some people do prefer mind clean and if you want that you could certainly upgrade to the VS stones.

FWIW, my wedding band is from them and I love it and requested the same thing!

How exciting! Good luck and please share pics with us when you receive it. I’m sure it will be beautiful.

Just remember everyone’s definition of eye clean is subjective so when you receive it hopefully it will live up to your expectations. If it doesn’t I have no doubt Yekutiel will make it right. IDJ is a class act and they make their customers happy.
