Long shot - anyone familiar with this setting?

I think the halo is beautiful but not a fan of the shank. The shank edge beside the halo looks a bit like a bum crack?

With your budget, you can use any of the popular vendors on here.

I agree the shank is a tad weird. Its the same on the bevk which is why I think its that. Its like the entire shank is next to the halo, bot tucked under at all

So, it turns out that this setting isn't really micro pave after all! According to Victor, it's a modified "coronet" setting with a half bezel on one side and bead pave on the other. I had no idea.

But sadly, it's going to blow my budget - so I'll have to start gathering other ideas or find a lesser craftsman, which doesn't seem all that wise.

I'm a bit disappointed because I'm not sure if I can afford custom at this point. VC came in way over budget (And he wasn't willing to do a design in rose gold) SK never responded to my inquiry.

I would do two things. Look at some beverly k rings and contact Engagement rings direct.

Beverly k has a lot of unique antique looking halos and i think they look beautiful. Also, i have seen on here they can be mortified beautifully.

I'll check out IDJ, I'm not really a fan of David Klass's work. It seems inconsistent.

I am sorry but the more I see of that ring ... the more I don't like it. The only thing it has going is the actual halo. The gallery is blah ... the shank is nasty to me.
