long chain 30 inch or so with large pearl pendant ?

I have been on the look out for a long chain 24 - 30 inches or so with a large pearl 14 mm or so (or even two pearls on top of one another in a pendant. I don't see any pearls on long chains. Is this because pearls would get damaged if they were on a longer chain and get knocked around? or can anyone point me in the right direction?

It might be a good plan to look for a chain you like from a specialist chain supplier and then get the pendant from the pearl supplier separately. consider also getting an enhancer as against a simple loop pendant as an enhancer will give you lots more options.
No reason why you can't have a long chain.

Some of the ladies here have wire wrapped pearl necklaces made to hang their pearls from using an enhancer bale that open and clips closed. You can find photographed examples here on this forum.
Long necklaces can be found on the internet, ebay or RioGrande , Bella Findings etc Just make sure the chain is strong enough for the large pearl and the possible snagging on items while wearing it.

I LOVE wearing pearls on long pendants. I believe my largest is 14mm I have them on chains between 26 and 30 inches. I'll post a few images.
I try not to wear them any days I think they will get banged up, but for the most part they are pretty safe.
as for chains, you can go to a jewelry and ask for a special chain, or if you are handy you can buy the chain and findings and construct it yourself.

I already have the chain - it is a long chain from a george jenson necklace - it is what made me think a big pearl would be nice on the end of the chain. oh dear, this has become a whole new research topic - I can't believe how much I am getting into pearls
