LOGR Setting Gaudy or Gorgeous?

Gaudy vs. gorgeous is a matter of taste, I think. My taste in jewelry is pretty simple, so that ring would be a little much for me. However, a lot of women will tell you that "you can never have too much bling!"

Basically what I''m trying to say is- if you love it, go for it!

I wouldn''t call it gaudy but there is too much happening there for my liking.

But like babygril said - it''s all a matter of personal opinion

It''s a little much for me and for every day, but it would make for a lovely cocktail ring for special occasions.

Do you think 3 gemstones would be better than 3 diamonds?

Ditto. Also, it''s all in the way you wear it - if you like it, then rock it.

I agree that it''s all a matter of personal taste. For me, it''s a bit much but if intricate jewelry is your thing, it could be beautiful.

I agree as well. It''d be a fun special occasion ring. I might be a bit worried that with THAT much going on it might look like costume jewelry... but I guess it depends on what you set in it too. It''s definitely a pretty and intricate ring though.

Another ditto on that over here...and to answer your other question, I think that would look STUNNING with some gemmies. Something bold...like amethysts or chrome tourmaline...(I''m on a purple and green kick right now...lol...)

I think it''s a pretty ring, just too much going on for my taste. With the right stones I think it could be a nice RHR or cocktail ring. If you like it then go for it.

I like it for a fun piece. I would put gemstones in it because three diamonds would cost too much for me to set them in an inexpensive/moderate quality setting.

And I am not saying that $1400 is inexpensive, but for that type of ring it is a very low price indeed!

It''s really a matter of personal taste. Some women would be able to handle that setting with no problem. It''s a little too much for me to wear. I''m not a very big person and I''m a rather simple dresser. Would it fit in with your lifestyle and personality?

I say Rock it!!!

Sorry, Gaudy!

I prefer simple jewelry, but if you like more intricate pieces thritto on the gemstone cocktail ring idea.

Someone I''m fairly positive on the colored gemstone forum has the ring set with pinkish stones I believe and it is STUNNING! I think you would need to see the ring in person before you decide- but personally I like it. I have several LOGR set with colored stones- they are very popular. they look 10 times better in person IMHO. I wouldn''t put a nice diamond in those settings but I think they are great for RHR.

Again, I agree that it is all about personal preference.

For my taste, it is a little bit much going on and I would be concerned about all of the paved diamonds. Very Blinky though..

Agreed with everyone, really. I think it would be a great cocktail ring, but for me, it would be too much for daily wear.

I would also wonder about the quality of the work for that price. There is a whole lot going on with this ring.

I remember someone actually purchased that ring and left feedback that was visible about it. They adored it. I have a similar three stone square halo ring from LOGR like that, but not as fancy and intricate, but it has intricate details and a filagree gallery. It has three colored diamonds in it (green and pink). I get compliments and stares on it all the time. My ring is in rose gold though. I find it to be really ornate, so I''m wondering how much more ornate that will look.

For me, I am sorry I will say gaudy. Just too much going on with the size and everything. I am a small person though (childsized hands all around as well as a petite person) and something like that just would look ridiculous on me. I could see a much older fairly wealthy lady wearing it though. Sorry if I sound insulting but that''s my personal thoughts on the setting.

It's not a style that I would choose for myself. To me, it's architectural, and it has far too much Indian or Hindu or Moorish influence in the styling. It's too "ethnic," and not my ethnic, in other words. I'm not calling it gaudy or ugly. I am just saying that the style cues are not what I'd pick.

It''s very busy.

I actually quite like it! The workmanship is lovely, especially for the price. I''d set it with lovely pale sapphires or possibly green gems - something cool and clean and light to counter the ornate setting - and rock the hell out of it.

IMO it''s a treasure! I adore this setting and no problem to wear it everyday!

Not gaudy, but not exactly understated. I''d buy it if I could rind the right 3 stones to go in it.

I thinik it''s lovely, and I bet with the right stones it would look fabulous. LOGR quality seems to go up quite a bit as price increases, so I might email Stephen just to get his honest impression of it.

For me, I couldn''t pull off THREE halos on one finger. I think I have trouble pulling off just one.

It would be too much for me and my lifestyle but I think it would look lovely on others. If you get it I''m sure I''ll admire it.
