Hey Diamondlove & DiamondSeeker, any news on either of you getting the Lockes ring? I''m so interested as to whether either of you are getting close! I''d better be!

Cliff is supposed to order it this week! I feel like I''ve been saying that for at least a month, but he really, really needs to so we can get engaged already

The wedding is coming up soon and I need some time to plan

Anyways, have you chosen different rings or is Lockes still in the running?

Hi, Sunkist,

I had sort of decided that $1800 was too much for that setting (platinum) so I''ve been looking at other things. But as I haven''t made a decision, I guess you could say that it is still technically in the running!!! I''ve been very much hoping one of you girls would get it so I could see another one! I am also considering having a ring handmade and I could have one made similar to this. Hope you get yours really soon!!!

hi Sunkist and DS,

I''m pretty sure my bf went with the Locke''s setting (fingers crossed still) and I know it is likely ready by now but I think he''s taking his sweet time planning a proposal or something bc he hasn''t proposed yet. I am such an impatient person so this is hard but it really is all up to him and I''m going to just hope he doesn''t take TOOO long.

I''ll update you guys once he does put it on my finger (esp. if it ends up being the Locke''s setting).

DS, you also have to keep in mind that the Locke''s setting inclues the 6 surprise diamonds which is a unique touch that I really like. However, they are small and you might not think it''s worth the extra cost. Either way, good luck with the search -- I enjoy reading the continuing saga.

DL, those stones definitely add a lot to the character of the ring! I just think Lockes is a lot like Tiffany in that they charge for the name. That doesn''t make it a bad thing. It is worth it if it is the ring you love! At least Lockes will set diamonds the customer provides unlike Tiffany!

Don''t have anything of any real value to add here

just wanted to say again -- DANG! That is ONE GORGEOUS solitare!!!

LOVE it!

Can''t wait to see some new photos when you lucky girls get yours!!!

Ya, I do agree it is a bit of an expensive setting. Mine will be a little bit less, cause I have a .95ct diamond. But still it''s a lot. And I''ve felt a little bit guilty about telling my BF that''s the one I want, but it IS the one I want. I''ve considered many solitaires and this one just fits the bill for what he wants and for what I want. And it''s going to be the only e-ring he''ll ever buy for me and the only one I ever wear, so I figure it''s worth getting it!

DS I hope you find your perfect solitaire! There are so many pretty ones out there, I feel you frustration on having to choose just one

DiamondLove, he''s making you wait?! Are you allowed to give him subtle hints to hurry up??

I''m keeping my fingers crossed for you and sending good PS vibes your way

The picture of the ring and band you posted is almost exactly what I have been looking for.

I don''t mean to be blunt, but how much did the ring itself cost? Also, where was it purchased from? Lockes?

Thank you!

mblgjr- that is a picture of the Lockes Solitaire. I think she said it was $1800 for a 1.5 carat stone so it''s probably a bit less for a 1 carat stone. you can contact Lockes for specific info. i agree it sure is purty

That is a wonderful price for that size stone! I can''t find anything like that locally.

Does anyone know the details of the stone?

Thank you.

sorry if i confused you. the $1800 is for the setting only. you'd still have to find the stone. Diamondseeker already has her stone

Thanks, mrss! Yep, the $1800 is just for the setting!

Yep, unfortunately $1800 does not include the center stone. My bf would''ve loved that.
