I got the diamond and ring through LM - process was very easy. I did not choose to customize anything on the ring, just picked out a setting and told him to do his thing. The only doubt I have on it is whether I should have gone for the double prongs but its too late now - the ring did come out beautiful though and I am glad I went with him. I read all of the bad stuff and even some of the things that have come out since I picked up the ring and I still feel that to get the setting I wanted it was worth it. I had none of those bad experiences.

As far as picture taking goes - I read through the tutorial and still couldn't get anything great like many others have. Here are two shots taken with my iphone - they don't do it justice but you get the idea.

Stats:
Cushion
2.4 ct
Color: J
Clarity: SI1

I have not proposed yet to my girlfriend - I am debating whether to wait until the weather gets nicer or to just go for it. I am pretty excited about doing it and I want to see what she thinks of the ring - I hope she loves it.

gosh darned pretty!!!!! I love it. Is that beautiful engraving on the sides?!?

sigh.... I have always wanted to see that one. Yay!!!! Such a good choice, I am thrilled for you!!!!

Beautiful! I have not seen a LM with engraving before. Glad your experience was good. The ring is gorgeous!

Absolutely beautiful!

Here are a couple more - I think I am starting to get the hang of taking the pictures. These are still with my phone - I will try later with a better quality camera. It seems that cropping the pictures is the key :-)

Now my dilemma is - should I wait until the weather is warmer so its nice out when I propose? I was planning on doing it at our favorite spot in a botanical garden near where we live - so obviously right in the middle of winter is not ideal.

Oh how can you wait!? I couldn't! lol!
It's GORGEOUS, she'll love it!
Glad to hear you had a good experience w/ LM, I also had a good experience and just received my ring.

Lovely, fabulous, gorgeous!

Valentines Day is Monday...hint hint.

Well, it's about time you posted pics of this beauty! I've been waiting :appl: :appl:
It's stunning SomethingClassic, really beautiful. That setting is amazing, and so is the stone.

Make sure you post more pictures when you give it to her!

That is my perfect cushion - gorgeous! I love the setting too. I wish I could see it in person.

It is awesome. Did Leon source the stone too?

And good lord man, propose now!! If I were your gf and knew you were sitting on that ring when I could have it on my finger, I would throttle you! haha. Let her enjoy it now, no matter the weather. Anytime you propose will be a wonderful and special day, because it is the day you propose! No need to wait.

OMG that is GORGEOUS!!! I love that cushion (and especially the colors you caught) and how cool to see engraving like that from Leon - the whole thing is just beautiful and flows amazingly well - I LOVE it! A true work of art.

I vote for not waiting to propose! Hee hee. But I'm a girl and I don't like to wait. Plus I would just be bursting if I tried to keep something that gorgeous a secret!

That is absolutely stunning!

The ring is very beautiful - she's sure to love it!

I'm liking the idea that Valentine's Day is upon us - why not take advantage of it?

I can almost guarantee you that she would rather have that ring right now than to wait until a warm spring day!!

Ummm, YES!!! Valentine's Day is coming and trust me, she'll secretly be disappointed when that day passes and you don't propose! Do not wait until warm weather! Who cares about the weather???!!!!

The ring is absolutely gorgeous! I love the engraving..it is just beautiful!

Love this ring!!!! The stone is gorgeous, the setting is gorgeous, the engraving is gorgeous!!! And I agree with the others, don't wait to propose. But make sure to share your proposal story with us and post hand shots (because of course she'll say yes :wink2: )

Hahaha I agree...how can you wait?!? I got my fiancee ring 2weeks earlier then I thought and the only reason I still carried it around in my pocket for 3 days was so I could rethink the proposal idea since the original one was a definite no go...and for 3 days I was dying inside because I couldn't just give it to her already!! Bahahaha...that is such a gorgeous ring, she's gonna love it!

beautiful ring!!! I'll side with others and say not to wait on the proposal

Good lord! Don't sit on that beautiful ring! Just be heartfelt and sincere and the occasion will be perfect. It doesn't have to be a spectacle.

Beautiful ring! I agree with everyone else. No need to wait to propose!

The diamond is gorgeous and the ring is very pretty. I always think engraved bands are so elegant. I would propose ASAP. I think there is a nice romantic holiday right around the corner. Good luck.

So I have some news.....

I was not home for Valentines day because I travel for work - but I proposed on Monday (President's Day Holiday) and she said yes :D

I had the ring in my pocket for a few days trying to come up with something good or find the right moment. We live close to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, and the night before I asked her if she wanted to take a walk on Monday. When we woke up it had snowed about 2 inches. It was beautiful out, not too cold, the trees were still covered in snow, and the ground was nice and white with no footprints in it yet.

We took a walk into the gardens to check out what it looked like, we had always talked about going in after it snowed and this was our chance. I asked her what he favorite spot was (its a large willow try by a brook that was frozen over) so we stood there for a while just enjoying the view and the silence. Then I told her I had a question to ask her, one that I was going to wait until it was nicer out but I thought the moment was perfect and I got down on one knee and proposed.

She smiled, cried, said yes and the rest is history - the ring is amazing, although it does need to be re sized so no hand shots until then.

Good for you!!!!!! Gorgeous ring!

:appl: Congratulations! The ring is lovely and your proposal sounds like it was perfect!

Yikes, how did I miss this?! What a gorgeous ring, one of my all time favorites that I've seen on PS so far. The engraving is such a pretty touch, and that stone...holy moley! I'm so glad to hear the proposal went well, congrats to you both!

Beautiful! It is a gorgeous ring! Congratulations! How could she not love it?!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! That ring is AMAZING!!! Enjoy this very special time!!! :appl:

YAY!!!!! :appl: :appl: :appl: And proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that elaborate, delayed proposals are JUST NOT NECESSARY!!!!

The ring is amazing  and the proposal was perfect and memorable! Congratulations!!!!
