How does one find out the Crown Height %? I was given the following numbers:
5.49 x 5.19 x 4.18 and I don't know what this means. Also, I was told that this stone is a "rectangular modified brilliance" ? Huh? Does this mean that the stone may be "laser enhanced" or "fractor filled"?
-thanks, kd
One can use Proportion scope, Sarin or Ogi machines to measure crown and pavilion angles and/or depth %.
5.49 x 5.19 x 4.18 are the measurements of the diamond: Length x Width x Depth
Rectangular modified brilliant means the stone is cut to rectangular shape but faceting is done similar to round brilliant shape. Something like Flanders cut. You can find such definitions on the diamond grading reports if the diamond shape or faceting is different from standard basic shapes.
