I took a punt with this one - no cert, no appraisal, just amateur photos.
It ended up being a .5 ct H/VS2 OEC, set in 18kt and platinum. There's even an engraving of initials, and a date from 1918. The faceting on the stone is just divine, really the most beautiful I think I've ever seen in person.
Shame it's not 10mm, lol.
I have no idea what to do with it. The ring is so comically large for me, too big for my DH even, that I could almost wear it as a bracelet. I may keep it tucked away for a future dangly earring project, or maybe a side stone for a three stone ring.
