Lightbox Metal and Color Grade Correlation?

I've wondered if Lightbox would use its "higher" color graded stones for their white vs. yellow gold pieces? It seems or would make sense from an aesthetic perspective, since yellow gold masks warmth more. Anyone have experience with this? I think it's most relevant when buying pieces to reset...

If they did, then I would be surprised. They guarantee a minimum color and clarity for their diamonds, so I think it would be more cost effective for them to just grab two diamonds correlating to the same carat weight from the same supply batch.
I could be wrong.

Based on my experience, no. My pendant in yellow gold looks almost blue. I so wish it was warmer!
