I received the 2 carat tw Lightbox cushion cuts this week. They were out of the rounds last weekend and I like that these were compass set and with flat back vs the 3 prong martini’s. When I did try to pull off one of the tags, the backing easily bent out of shape. I immediately replaced them with more durable backings since these are larger earrings and I didn’t want to lose them. I would suggest if you go up to the 1 carat each that you switch them out.
The earrings measured 6.3, which is a little under a 1 carat face up because they are cushion’s. When I took a picture next to the 2 carat round, they were noticeably whiter. I was expecting a more splintery cut but they have an almost crushed ice look to them. They are also slightly hazy in certain lights under the table. It reminds me slightly of what moissanite crushed ice can look like. For the price and the size, I am happy enough with them to keep them. They still sparkle nicely but probably not as much as the rounds.
