Light pink wedding band

Hi beautiful people,

So I was in SF this weekend, where I fell in love with this piece.

Sadly, $13k is a *little* out of my budget for a wedding band. In fact, I'm looking to spend around 1/10th of that, maybe just a tiny bit more.

I'm open to any and all suggestions- sapphires, spinels, or pink diamonds- in eternity, or less... As long as it is light pink and set in rose gold. I can't wait to hear from you brilliant PSers.

What should I look for in a good sapphire or spinel ring?

All the stones are well matched in size, colour and cutting.
Good workmanship (smooth to the touch and doesn't catch on clothing).
The colour that you like.

What are your (brutally honest) thoughts on that etsy ring I posted?
